Beautiful piece of Tiwanaku art. Tupu pin in silver worn by a higher status noblewomen. Used to fasten cloaks worn around their shoulders, also served as Andean jewelry. Similar example is exhibited at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Tx., Accession number 2004.2448.

Measures 5.25”/13.33 cm. Excellent condition. Peru. Ca. 400-1100 A.D.
