A feline amulet from the Valdivian culture. Made from the important Spondylus Shell. Crouched Jaguar with geometric patterns throughout its body. Perforation to nose. Excellent patina. West Coastal region, Ecuador. 3000 - 1450 BC. Measures over 3"/7.62 cm in height.  3.5"/8.89 cm mounted on metal block.
