A superb Bahia hollow figure from Ecuador - La Plata Hueco Type. Depicts a standing
female with hands held to her mid-section. She is wearing a long skirt decorated
with incised and painted designs. Adorned with a red ocher necklace and matching
ear ornaments. Overall in excellent condition, with good paint, strong calcification,
root marks and good high tone on the whistle. Manabi region, Ecuador. 500BC/500AD.
