La Tolita - Tumaco Maskette

An excellent La Tolita / Tumaco maskette. Sculptured from grainy ash clay. Face is well executed with traditional head garment. Holes on backside of head presumably for suspension.  This is a stand alone piece, not a fragment.

Esmeraldas Region, Ecuador, Columbia  ca. 300 BC-100 AD. Measures 2" in height, 5.5" on custom made stand.

Nose tip and right ear have been restored. Can be worn as a large pendant.
